BESS
2MW/4MWh BESS project in Jelgava
The 2MW/4MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Jelgava is being developed as a modern energy storage asset with commissioning planned in the future.
The project is being developed to provide electricity storage capacity and support more flexible use of power within the local electricity grid. The selected project scale is aligned with the site's available capacity and the planned operating profile.
The location at Meiju ceļš 28B, Jelgava has been selected because of its promising connection potential and suitability for an energy storage asset. The project is planned with a long-term view toward reliable participation in Latvia's electricity infrastructure.
Once commissioned, the BESS asset is expected to support charging, storing, and dispatching electricity according to grid and market conditions.
